Dear Friends, Colleagues, Clients, and Customers:

I am writing to invite you to join with millions of people across the globe who will be praying for world peace on Monday, May 23, 2005. Every year since 1952, people of diverse faiths, practices, and cultures have combined their spiritual power of intent on the third full moon following the vernal equinox, to help manifest world peace. This day of observance - which falls on May 23rd this year - has become known as World Invocation Day and is "a world day of prayer and meditation when men and women of every spiritual path join in a universal appeal to divinity ...for the light, the love, and the spiritual direction needed to build a world of justice, unity, and peace" (quoted from World Invocation Day's website, www.lucistrust.org).

Participating in this event can be done in the privacy of your home and will take as little as two minutes of your time. (Of course, if you wish to meditation/pray/visualize longer, then that's wonderful – but even 2 minutes of your focused, heartfelt attention will make a tremendous difference in the conditions in the world!). It's something that I have participated in yearly since first learning of it about 7 years ago and have found the experience so tremendously meaningful and empowering that I want to share it with you. So I invite you to become my partner in manifesting world peace and universal love, by joining me in praying the "Great Invocation" and/or by simply meditating upon and visualizing world peace for at least two minutes today. Here is the prayer:

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts
May the Coming One return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Praying the "Great Invocation"and/or simply meditating upon, visualizing, and choosing world peace is a profoundly powerful and loving act. How so? "To use the Great Invocation is a world service for it speaks directly to world need today. We need light to illumine the way ahead and reveal the vision of a new civili[z]ation; we need love to govern the relationships between people and bring to an end the reign of hatred and separatism; we need the power of the will-for-good to direct human choice and decision making. The universal use of the Great Invocation on World Invocation Day charges this day with deep spiritual significance, for it builds a channel through which light, love, and power can reach and irradiate the hearts and minds of people everywhere." (ibid)

Why the World Urgently Needs Our Prayers/Meditations/Visualizations/Intentions for Peace Now
Though most of us would rather deny it, the truth of the matter is that the world is in very bad shape right now – despite the affluence, convenience, comfort, and freedom that millions of us blithely enjoy and take for granted each day. We must awaken to the harsh truth that there are serious problems facing humanity at present and that things will only get worse and could ultimately result in the apocalypse predicted by so many of the world's spiritual traditions and prophets – ranging from a number of writings in the Dead Sea scrolls to the numerous prophecies regarding "end times" in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible to ancient Mayan and Hopi prophecies to the prophecies of clairvoyants Edgar Cayce and Nostradamus to the prophecies recently discovered in The Bible Code – unless we become conscious of and assume full responsibility for our power to co-create the conditions around us, make fundamental shifts in our perceptions of reality and our levels of consciousness, and actively take the steps needed to radically change humanity's course (beginning with embodying peace, compassion, and unity consciousness in our daily lives) prior to the year 2012.

Yes, humankind has been plagued by the problems of violence, hatred, selfishness, greed, poverty, disease, alienation, and meaningless for millennia – so, it is true that many of the problems in existence today are merely new variations on very old themes – and yes, there have been many people in the past who have tried to persuade others that the world was about to come to an end – though, obviously, the world did not come to an end at that time – however, there are some critical differences between the conditions of the past and those we are presently facing. Never before in our recorded history have we had the combination of the technological skills, degree of affluence, and level of global influence and interaction that we possess today. But our science, our money, and our other forms of external power are far from being used for benign or benevolent purposes. Instead, we have been collectively using our power (whether directly or indirectly, through making possible that use by the financial support we give via the products and services we routinely buy and use) to manufacture and unleash weapons of mass destruction, so that we may feel protected and in charge; to exploit workers in third world countries, so that we may have cheap goods; to rape the life support system that we call the natural world, in order to satisfy our insatiable desire for material consumption; and to spread deadly diseases. We have set ourselves on a collision course with both nature and man. Unless we awaken to the seriousness of the devastation that we have already created and the inestimable destruction we are courting, then we will soon attract the forces that will totally annihilate the human race – whether from a third world war, the completion of the pole shift that is already underway, the melting of the polar ice caps and the rising of the tides via global warming, the rendering of our air and water unusable, and/or the spread of unstoppable pandemics. As Gregg Braden – a scientist, best-selling author, and international lecturer – has noted: "For the first time in recorded human history, the fate of our entire species rests upon the choices of a single generation."

...We are that generation.

...The outcome for humanity depends upon us... Right here... Right now.

We are presently at a crossroads and there is only a tiny window of opportunity left to alter our collective course and create a mutually-enriching, life-enhancing outcome. Humanity urgently needs our prayers, meditations, visualizations, feelings, intentions, and actions focused on embodying peace and compassion right now, more than ever before. As Marianne Williamson – an internationally acclaimed author and spiritual teacher – states in The Gift of Change: "We are being challenged by world events, by the tides of history, to develop a more mature consciousness. Yet we cannot do that without facing what hurts... The fact that we go about our lives as though the survival of the world is not at stake is not the sign of a stiff upper lip. It is the sign, rather, of a society not yet able or willing to hold a conversation about its deepest pain." Once we are willing to recognize our power to co-create the conditions in the world around us – starting with grasping the truth that the conditions "out there" in the world are a direct reflection of and an out-picturing or projection of the thoughts and feelings that we hold as real and true "in here," within our own hearts and minds – and to accept full responsibility for what we have individually and collectively created, then we empower ourselves to reclaim and redirect our power to change the outcome for humanity and to manifest a world of peace, love, justice, and abundance for all – a world that many dismiss as an ideal which is unattainable on this earthly plane, most simply dream of, and others merely hope for, but that only the most courageous and compassionate among us dare to dedicate their lives to actualizing.

...Yes, that is precisely how powerful we are.

...And I invite you to discover and actualize that power by coming to a deeper realization of who and what you really are, why you're on this planet right now, and how you can use your personal power to transform our world into an enlightened and loving global family.

The Role of Prayer, Meditation, Visualization, Feelings, & Intent in the Process of Manifestation:
The power to manifest our collective vision for world peace and harmony resides within each and every one of us. This power is part and parcel of the Divinity that resides within every element of Creation. It is our God-given right to use this power and our responsibility to use it wisely, for the betterment of the Whole.

We've already been using this power all along, without even knowing it. Mostly, we have used it destructively – often unintentionally, but with hurtful and limiting results, nevertheless. So how do we learn to use our inherent power of creation consciously and constructively? It starts with correcting some of our erroneous notions about the process of manifestation – including some of our underlying fallacies about the nature and efficacy of prayer, meditation, visualization, focused attention, and emotions.

Now, please understand that I realize all too well how we have all been conditioned to believe that we are virtually powerless to change the course of human events, that the actions of one person – however well-intended – actually matter little in the overall scheme of things, and that the social problems of hatred and violence, disease, pollution, and poverty are so enormous that it is delusional to think that we can actually solve them. But these misguided beliefs stem from fundamental flaws in our understanding of reality – and, thus, if corrected, can and will yield very different conditions and life experiences for us. They are the beliefs of a two year old child – and it's high time that we grew up and replaced these highly limiting and destructive beliefs – and the actions which naturally follow from them – with those that encompass a greater degree of Universal Truth.

The enlightened masters among us have long taught that things happen for a reason and that there is a direct connection between our thoughts and feelings, on the one hand, and the outcomes we manifest and experience, on the other hand. The Law of Karma – "As ye sow, so shall ye reap" – illustrates the veracity of this point. Innately, we understand this, as indicated by the popular expression, "What goes around, comes around." As we explore the perennial wisdom teachings more deeply, it become apparent that the world's greatest teachers have also been trying to teach us that it is not merely our actions which determine the types of conditions and experiences that we will have, or reap, in life, but also that our thoughts and emotions play pivotal parts in what manifests in our lives – whether for good or ill – and that we can learn to consciously direct these forces of creation. Indeed, mastering and integrating these lessons regarding the right use of our personal power in the process of conscious co-creation and manifestation is an essential part of the ongoing process of our spiritual evolution. Developing the requisite pellucidity (clarity), proficiency, and purity will determine whether humanity suffers unimaginable horrors before annihilating itself or succeeds in manifesting Heaven in and on Earth.

The Buddha explained the role our thoughts play in the creative process thusly: "We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we create the world." Similar teachings can be found in Proverbs 23:7 – "As a man thinketh in his heart, so he is" – Matthew 29:9 – "According to your faith [belief], it will be done unto you" – and Matthew 8:13 – "As thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee." Gandhi furthered our understandings of these teachings by incorporating the roles played by our mental, emotional, and spiritual states of being – the level of consciousness that we are embodying – by teaching: "We must become the change that we seek in the world." In modeling this Universal Principle, Gandhi brilliantly demonstrated the fallacy of operating under the widely held paradigm of "DoûHave/Get/ObtainûBe" (a paradigm which is rooted in a misunderstanding of reality and which leads to fear-based, violent, and hurtful actions) and clearly showed us that the peace, love, justice, joy, freedom, and abundance that we all yearn for will only come about when we learn to apply the Law of Attraction correctly in the manifestation process – by following the "BeûHaveûDo" paradigm (a paradigm which is rooted in Universal Truth and which creates loving and productive outcomes for all) – instead.

How is it that our thoughts, emotions, and states of being – rather than merely our actions – have the power to create the conditions and experiences of our individual and collective lives? The answer lies in the Universal Principle known as the Law of Attraction (aka: the Hermetic Law of Correspondence, the Law of Similars, the Law of Resonance, and the Law of Magnetism). This law teaches us that, like a living magnet, whatever we resonate with – which is determined by the thoughts we hold to be true, the emotions we are most strongly feeling, and the states of being that we are engaging in, whether held consciously or unconsciously – we will draw unto ourselves. Quantum physicists now recognize the validity of this ancient Truth and refer to it as "Attractor Fields" or "Attractor Patterns." (Excellent discussions on the spiritual implications and practical applications of "Attractor Fields/Patterns" can be found in: Infinite Mind: Science of the Human Vibrations of Consciousness, Dr. Valerie Hunt; Power vs. Force, Dr. David Hawkins; and The Isaiah Effect, Gregg Braden.) This concept explains how and why negative, limiting, and/or destructive conditions and experiences show up in both our individual lives and upon the world stage – such as how victims attract their abusers (by holding a low opinion of themselves, by seeing themselves as powerless, and by viewing life as hostile and fearful), individuals attract financial struggles and debt (by believing in scarcity and an unworthiness to receive and experience abundance), countries attract war (by believing in the illusion of separation, by failing to recognize our inherent interconnectedness – and thus, failing to understand that, in dominating and hurting others, we are actually hurting ourselves as well, by failing to transcend the seeming duality of diversity and unity, and by unconsciously choosing the path of fear – which is masquerading as hatred – rather than love), and even natural disasters (through our thoughts of fear, anger, separation, and selfishness, we unconsciously create conditions which will force us to work together and rely upon one another, so that we may learn the lessons of love and cooperation) – as well as how we can co-create life-affirming, joyous, and mutually-enriching outcomes for all.

So how do we use these Principles to manifest and assure a peaceful, compassionate, and fulfilling outcome for humanity? In his seminal book The Isaiah Effect (one of the most important, inspiring, and empowering books I have ever read), Gregg Braden addresses these very issues and teaches that there are two spiritual technologies – prayer and prophecy – which can be used to redirect humanity's present course and steer us to an unparalleled era of peace and love. As he uncovered in his exhaustive research, particularly in a Dead Sea scroll known as "The Great Scroll of Isaiah" (which was written by the Essenes some 2,500 years ago), prophecy – an ability which we can all learn to cultivate through accessing Higher states of consciousness and which is increasingly being referred to as "remote viewing" – enables us to view the future consequences or likely outcomes of the choices we are presently making. Prayer – when it is engaged in as a mode that is radically different than the way we normally define prayer: "Prayer is our ability to commune and actively participate in the events of creation" (ibid) – as a process through which we consciously collaborate with Spirit – one in which we clearly set our intention, establish resonance through the state of being that we choose to embody, and then visualize, feel, and experience the desired outcome as if or as though it has already manifested – one whereby we "achieve the feeling that the prayer has already been answered, rather than asking that the answer come to pass through divine intervention" (ibid) – enables us to actively choose which prophecy we live, which outcome we will manifest. As Braden further states:

Through this deceptively simple yet eloquent perspective, we are reminded that... there are multiple dimensions with many outcomes for each moment of our lives... and that the tragedy and suffering, as well as the joy and compassion in our world, arise from the conditions within the single consciousness that links all hearts and all minds [our collective consciousness or the Divine Mind]. To experience new outer conditions, we are invited to become new inner conditions.

...It is our willingness to marry this single principle [of conscious co-creation and manifestation] to the most sophisticated science of our future, which may yield nothing less than the greatest epoch of peace yet known to our kind – and the keys to our very survival.

Becoming the Change That We Seek in the World
In closing, then, we can see how important it is for us to awaken to the seriousness of the plight we are currently in and the limited amount of time we have left to change humanity's course and avert unprecedented disaster, suffering, and death. Moreover, by becoming aware of the enormous creative power we each possess; by accepting responsibility for our miscreations of the past, as well as for the kind of future that we are presently creating through our thoughts, emotions, and states of being; and by actualizing that power in the service of the Whole, we can and will co-create Heaven on Earth – an enlightened world of peace, justice, love, and abundance for all.

So I invite you to use this moment – on this World Invocation Day – to unite your heartfelt intention to co-create and be peace and compassion in the world with the benevolent intentions likewise held by many of your brothers and sisters in Spirit to manifest the beauty and majesty within us. It is by "becoming the change that we seek in the world" (Gandhi) – by embodying the very peace and love that we wish to see expressed in the world – that we will be able to achieve our goal. I leave you now with Lao Tzu's (the author of the classic Chinese text, The Tao Te Ching, circa 550 B.C.) brilliant teaching on the connection between our inner and outer worlds – and of our unlimited power to manifest the kind of world that is embedded within our hearts and souls, yearning to be birthed:

If there is rightness in the soul,
there will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace on earth.

Transformatively Yours,
Kerin A. Denzer
