
Dynamo Pulse
This dynamo pulse meditation technique is an ancient spiritual journeying tool. Thousands have used it to help them enter the Kingdom Within and share heartspace with Creation. It is the heart that we will focus on now. Allow your mind to take a break for just a bit as we explore another area of consciousness, the heart.
First, find a comfortable place to sit. You may find a lounge chair works best or you can lay down, as you will be putting your fingertips together for a few minutes at least. Maintaining consciousness is important and oftentimes this process will relax you to the point of a gentle and deep sleep as you begin to practice the technique. Once you've found a comfortable and quiet space, put your fingertips together - thumb to thumb, index finger to index finger, etc., and begin to relax your breath by taking several long and deep breaths. As you become even more aware of your breath, flowing in and out smoothly, close your eyes and relax into your natural breathing rhythm.
Focus your attention on your fingertips. It may take a few moments and you will begin to feel your heartbeat pulsing in your fingertips. Be patient as it may take a moment for you to feel it. When you do - focus on this pulse. If you have problems keeping your mind from chattering, use "ah" on the in-breath and "om" on the out-breath until it is quiet again. Some prefer to use "I" and "AM" respectively. Return to the pulse in your fingertips. Begin to allow this pulse to move throughout your body until you can feel your whole body pulse. This process may take several minutes or it could happen nearly immediately, depending on your level of focus and relaxation. It may even take several attempts to be able to reach this place of feeling your heartbeat in your fingertips. When you reach it stay there for as long as you are able or time permits, at least 5 to 10 minutes at first.
Practice this several times a day if possible. At first, it may be difficult to focus for more than a few moments. Continue practicing and you will notice some major benefits in your life. Each person will be different, however you will notice a similar sense of profound peace as stress is allowed to leave the body/mind. The body/heart consciousness opens the door to a deeper and more meaningful life connection. The technique is designed to balance your body's energy fields, through its own power source... the heart. Within the heart pulses are many worlds uniting inside you. This will become evident as you continue with the practice.
Eventually, a minute or two may be all that is necessary to calm and center yourself in stressful situations. It is a perfect technique to use in any situation that requires your full attention without distraction of emotional attachments to outcome. This includes business, professional, and personal arenas of day-to-day living. It is one thing to fill your head with the knowledge that you can operate relatively stress free in life, it is quite another to experience this reality through this simple practice.
